About
The problem it solves Traditional grants are slow and take months-long cycles to gather enough funding to start the project, whereas existing DeSci solutions struggle to raise and steward funds transparently with problems in an opaque environment of little real-time accountability, and costly maintenance. In the traditional fundraising methods, donors can’t easily verify where the donated funds flow. Researchers also face problems in receiving global support without banking friction, and milestone delivery is rarely enforced. Our platform fixes that by making funding programmable, transparent, and milestone-bound—money moves only when on-chain evidence says progress is real.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into As we built on Scaffold‑ETH 2, we reaped benefits like live‑reloading frontends, integrated RainbowKit wallet support, and in‑built contracts tooling, yet we also bumped against framework limits. For example, our milestones weren’t rendering correctly in the UI despite properly deployed smart contract logic, due to inconsistencies in event indexing or React hooks execution. We also faced donation issues with USDC, mainly because USDC, being an ERC‑20 stablecoin, required an individual smart contract, which can misfire if allowances are missing or front‑end code doesn't repeatedly poll allowance state. Additionally, our complex, multi‑stage crowdfunding contract grew quite large, so big that it exceeded gas limits when deploying or testing on testnets, leading to out‑of‑gas errors and failed deployments.
