    About

The problem it solves The Problem It Solves Decentralized finance (DeFi) has unlocked powerful financial tools such as token swaps, decentralized trading, and peer-to-peer payments. However, the user experience remains complex and risky, especially for new users. Most DeFi platforms require users to interact with long hexadecimal wallet addresses, navigate generic market dashboards, and manually analyze trading opportunities without personalized guidance. One major problem is the risk of sending funds to incorrect addresses. Crypto wallet addresses are long and difficult to verify, and a small mistake can lead to permanent loss of funds. This makes simple tasks like sending tokens or transferring funds unnecessarily stressful. Another challenge is the lack of personalization in DeFi platforms. Most trading dashboards show the same market data to every user, regardless of their portfolio, transaction history, or trading preferences. Users must manually research tokens, analyze trends, and decide what to trade, which can be overwhelming. Security is also a concern. DeFi users are often exposed to scams, malicious addresses, phishing attacks, and volatile market conditions. Many existing platforms provide little assistance in warning users about risky transactions or suspicious destinations. How IdeFi Solves These Problems IdeFi simplifies and improves the DeFi experience by combining ENS identity, personalized analytics, and security monitoring. 1. Simplified Transactions with ENS Instead of sending funds to long wallet addresses, users can send tokens using human-readable ENS names (for example, divesh.eth). This reduces errors and makes crypto payments much easier and safer. 2. Personalized DeFi Market Assistant IdeFi analyzes a user’s on-chain transaction history and portfolio behavior to generate a personalized market feed. This allows users to quickly discover relevant tokens and opportunities without manually scanning large amounts of market data. 3. Integrated Token Swaps Users can perform token swaps directly inside the platform through integrated decentralized exchange liquidity. This allows them to trade assets without leaving the application or relying on centralized exchanges. 4. Risk Monitoring and Security Alerts The platform includes a risk monitoring system that detects potentially unsafe transactions or market conditions. Users receive alerts through multiple channels such as in-app notifications, email, or SMS.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into 1. Personalization from On-Chain Transaction Data Another challenge was building the personalized market feed based on users’ past transactions. Blockchain data is raw and complex, and extracting useful signals like frequently traded tokens or preferred trade sizes required additional indexing and filtering. Solution: I built a lightweight transaction analysis layer that processes wallet history and derives useful insights such as: frequently traded tokens average trade sizes recurring transaction patterns These signals were then used to rank tokens and generate the “best buy” recommendations shown in the user’s personalized dashboard. 2. Wallet and Network Compatibility Integrating wallet connections (like MetaMask and WalletConnect) while ensuring compatibility with the Base network created some issues during development. Sometimes the application attempted to send transactions on the wrong network or failed when the wallet was not switched to Base. Solution: I added a network detection and automatic network switch prompt. If the user’s wallet was not connected to Base, the app prompts them to switch networks before performing swaps or transfers. This significantly improved reliability during transactions. 3. Balancing Security Features with User Control Designing the risk monitoring and transaction freeze system was challenging because it needed to improve safety without blocking legitimate user actions. Too many alerts or automatic freezes could harm user experience. Solution: The freeze system was implemented as an optional, user-controlled safety feature. Instead of automatically blocking transactions, the system first sends alerts and allows users to configure how strict the protection rules should be. This keeps users in control while still improving security.
