    About

The problem it solves Over 100,000 missing persons are reported annually in India, with many cases going cold due to lack of resources and coordination. HopeNet is a Web3-powered platform that enhances missing persons investigations through blockchain security, crowdsourced information sharing, and verified case reporting.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Implementing Secure & Immutable Case Records Challenge: Ensuring that missing persons' data remains tamper-proof while allowing verified authorities to update case statuses. Solution: We integrated EduChain, a blockchain solution that enables immutable records while granting access to authorized personnel via role-based permissions. 2️⃣ Balancing Privacy with Crowdsourced Investigations Challenge: Allowing public contributions while preventing misuse or misinformation. Solution: We implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Clerk and restricted sensitive data access to verified users only. 3️⃣ Ensuring Platform Scalability & Performance Challenge: Handling large amounts of data from case reports, tips, and community discussions. Solution: We optimized our backend with efficient data indexing and used asynchronous processing to manage real-time updates without lag.
