Guess It is a new SocialFi experience on Base that enables players to speculate on an outcome in a multiple-choice style format.
About
The problem it solves A topic is chosen each week along with a set of answers, and players must guess on which answer is correct. Different choices will be mapped to the same color, so players can keep their shares throughout the weeks. Hints are provided daily, so unlike traditional betting/prediction markets, Guess It allows players to switch their bets throughout the week. At the beginning of every week, a new topic is chosen. The topic might be Presidents, Rappers, or even Blockchains. In addition to the topic, the answer for the topic will be hashed (along with a salt) and posted on-chain. There will be a total of 7 possible answers to choose from.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into We ran into lots of challenges dealing with the bonding curve in the solidity contract as well as different parts on the frontend integrating the backend point system and the design.
