Growthcast
Powerful analytics, insights and guides to grow faster
About
The problem it solves **The main goal of Growthcast is to help new Farcaster users grow their profiles faster** **Growthcast integrates directly with Warpcast as an extension**, making everything available through your favorite client - Warpcast There are several growth and analytical features available to users: 1. **Increase discoverability of other users without a power badge** Growthcast recommends different active users without power badges based on your on-chain and social activities using OpenRank algorithms 2. **Increase motivation to cast on Farcaster using streaks** Growthcast tracks users’ daily casts and displays them directly on the Warpcast client. If a user does not cast, the streak count will reset to zero 3. **Get analytical insights using Farcaster data analysis** Users can check how different Farcaster metrics change over various time periods - 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days. For example, easily track how the number of likes changes over a 7-day period In addition to all the features above, users also get access to a new format on Warpcast - threads! Users can create a thread directly on Warpcast and publish it as a Frame
How it's made
Challenges we ran into There were several issues I faced during the development: 1. **Integrating interaction with Farcaster data into the Chrome extension and making it available directly in Warpcast** I used the Plasmo.js library to easily integrate the entire logic into the Warpcast client. The content script helps integrate HTML elements directly into the website, quickly displaying new information 2. **Tracking users’ daily casts to show the number of streaks** To solve this issue, I used a separate webhook service and Neynar API to track whether a user cast something each day. This helps understand user activity and display the number of streaks 3. **Introducing the new content format - threads** One idea was to offer users new content formats, such as threads. To implement this, I created a familiar UX and used the Neynar API to cast a thread as a Frame 4. **Displaying active profiles of new users without power badges** One of the main issues on Warpcast is finding active users without power badges, as originally, you can only see power users. To solve this, I decided to use OpenRank algorithms to recommend users based on their on-chain and social activities
