GIVE Protocol
No-loss Donation Platform
About
The problem it solves ## The Problem Donating to charity means losing your money forever. You can't support causes without sacrificing your savings. ## The Solution GIVE Protocol uses DeFi yield to fund charities while your principal stays safe. Stake stablecoins or ETH, yield goes to NGOs, withdraw your deposit once lock-in period finishes. **For Donors:** - Fund causes without losing your capital - Vote on milestones to ensure accountability - Withdraw instantly if recipient deviate from their milestones **For NGOs:** - Sustainable recurring funding from staking yield - Built-in accountability through on-chain governance - Access crypto funding without asking for permanent donations **Why It's Better:** - Get your money back anytime - Smart contracts enforce accountability - Yield flows as long as you stay staked - No central authority can misuse funds
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **The Problem:** DeFi protocols generate yield in completely different ways. As an example: Aave increases your aToken balance over time. Pendle has fixed maturity tokens. sUSDe auto-compounds into the token itself. Some protocols queue yield that you claim separately. We needed one vault system to handle all of them. **The Solution:** We created 5 adapter types with a unified `IYieldAdapter` interface: - **BalanceGrowth** (Aave): Tracks liquidity index, balance grows automatically - **CompoundingValue** (stETH, sUSDe): Token value increases, not balance - **FixedMaturityToken** (Pendle): Principal tokens with maturity dates, rollover logic - **ClaimableYield**: Yield queued separately, claim then distribute - **Manual**: Off-chain management with on-chain attestation Each adapter translates protocol-specific yield into a common harvest() function. The vault doesn't care *how* yield is generated—it just calls adapter.harvest() and receives profit/loss.
