The problem it solves # Proposed Solution To address these challenges, we propose GenTree, a web3 platform that uses the Base blockchain and Coinbase wallet to provide a complete family financial planning and management solution. - Organization and security for family planning: **Expense Forecasting:** Users will be able to plan and forecast important expenses such as family vacations, retirement, medical expenses and insurance. **Family Budget Management:** GenTree will allow families to create and manage a base budget, ensuring efficient and transparent administration of financial resources. **Digital Asset Management:** Using Coinbase Wallet, GenTree will allow each family member to manage their money and invest in different decentralized applications (DApps) within Base, ensuring funds are managed securely and profitably. **Transparency and traceability:** The Base blockchain will guarantee the security and transparency of all transactions and records, providing an additional layer of security. - Secure and Redundant Storage: **Shared Custody:** GenTree allows seed phrases to be split and stored in multiple secure locations. This technique, known as Shamir's Secret Sharing, ensures that only by combining all the parts can the complete phrase be recovered. **Authorized Access:** Users can designate trusted people (family or friends) who have a part of the seed phrase. This ensures that, if forgotten, the entire sentence can be safely reconstructed.

Challenges we ran into - Resolve the design issue, since we did not have that backgroun, but in the end we resolved it with the skills of the team. - Make the decision about which data could be stored onchain and which offchain.
