The problem it solves 1. Liquidity Crunch is a major problem that NFT users face. Paying full upfront amount to buy an NFT limits the buying potential of an average NFT buyer. Also, many NFT traders miss a successful trade due to a lack of upfront capital. 2. Current financing protocols require a pre-collateral and are overcollateralized, this is a problem for users with a lack of upfront money or no pre-owned asset to collateralize. GearFi facilitates Buy Now Pay Later and Margin trading for NFTs, allowing traders to trade more and earn more.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Scope of project was too big for a small team like ours. Integrating a lot of different technologies like mongo, express, react, ethers.js and solidity makes the whole process troublesome. Once the project reaches a certain stage and is big enough testing individual modules and usecases becomes much harder plus the whole process of testing also becomes lengthy. Due to which debugging gets harder and harder after a certain point.
