The problem it solves A fiat on-ramp for buying NFTs Despite their extensive popularity, it is still difficult for people to buy NFTs, Fiat-NFT solves that problem by allowing users to pay for NFTs the way they might be most comfortable with: Credit Cards while still paying the sellers in cryptocurrency. It is mostly aimed at people who don't know about or new to crypto. - Features included: Minting function, Facility to view all minted and owned NFTs by a particular account, Facility to buy NFTs with Credit Cards using Stripe Integrations
How it's made
Challenges we ran into - Challenges: Integrating Credit Card Payments : I had a lot of difficulty integrating stripe payments into my project, but eventually due to extensive documentation by stripe, I did it. I also faced difficulty deploying the smart contracts to Polygon mumbai testnet as I kept getting a timeout error. I solved this by looking around forums and changing my truffle-config.js many times untill I got the result. The trouble arised as I was using Alchemy for the first time and had previously only used Infura. Unable to figure out how to not make the user pay gas fees: In the project the user doesn't have to pay the prize of the NFT in crypto, but they still have to pay the gas fees for transaction. I would like to calculate that and include it in the total displayed fiat prize. I couldn't overcome this.
