About
The problem it solves Digital greetings are temporary and centralized — Messages sent on social media or messaging apps can be deleted, lost, or censored. They don’t carry permanent value or ownership. No proof of authenticity or ownership — When you send a greeting or a special message online (birthday wishes, congratulations, love notes, community shoutouts), it doesn’t truly belong to either sender or receiver. Lack of personalization with permanence — Current greetings (cards, texts, DMs) don’t provide a way to preserve the memory in a verifiable, collectible, and creative way. Missed opportunity for creators and communities — Artists, fans, and communities don’t have a simple way to turn greetings into collectibles or meaningful digital assets. How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenges I ran into One of the main challenges I faced was that NFTs were not minting properly during testing. This was due to issues with contract interaction and metadata handling. I fixed this by carefully debugging the smart contract logic, improving error handling, and ensuring metadata was correctly linked. Another challenge was dealing with high gas fees on the base blockchain, which discouraged users from minting greetings. To overcome this, I explored using Layer 2 solutions and gas-optimized smart contract patterns, which significantly reduced transaction costs and improved the user experience.
