The problem it solves Since 2020, companies like Bunge and Cargill have suffered major financial and credibility impacts for buying from producers who deforested the Brazilian ecosystem. Environmental areas must be preserved. This is how Farmie (www.farmie.io) was born, a platform (www.farmie.app) for the Certification of Origin and Traceability of agricultural commodities that uses NFT to ensure anti-deforestation compliance using cutting-edge technology such as Blockchain for guarantees and traceability in this complex supply chain. Our mission is to stimulate agricultural production that reduces deforestation through the certification of productive areas offering environmental compliance using approved methodologies. We guarantee reliable transfer of ownership and possession of production commodities between the actors in the chain, providing operational traceability to the chain as a whole. The platform has a simple user experience so that producers and other participants can register their certifications through NFTs. Additionally, we issue tokens representing tons of production grains in a state of environmental compliance offering the following solution to core business problems. How it's made
Challenges we ran into We performed the compliance assessment with satellite image. With the status of Preservation Area and Biome, we raise funds for reforestation of native forest, measuring C02 generated and commercialization. Thanks to the innovation of our solution, we changed the way of doing business leveraging on sustainability, certification of origin, traceability of the agro increasing the financial use and increasing the trust of the information of the chain as a whole. But the main challenges is to gain visibility, needing marketing and sales budget to scale.
