The problem it solves Meeps: Greeting Cards That Last a Lifetime on Base Evrlink captures, creates, preserves the connection and value of greeting cards onchain, making them accessible to everyone. Evrlink's greeting cards, called Meeps, leverage Base SDK features, including Smart Wallet created upon email sign-up, NFTs on Base, Paymaster, Sub Accounts and Basenames. The Project also promotes sustainability by offering carbon offset purchases for each card minted through [carbonsustain.io](url) The Problem The current global market size for greeting cards in $19.2 billion as of 2022. Yet, both physical and digital greeting cards fall short of capturing the emotional and historical value they represent for senders and recipients - beyond a brief moment. What a sense of sunk value for customers! When people spend time and money on both physical and digital greeting cards, they hope the effect will last. Yet, physical cards are lost or forgotten and often end up in a landfill. While digital cards are great at capturing data, they too are easily lost in emails and fail to create a “forever” sentimental value. Evrlink allows for a more affordable greeting card and solves for the value missed with traditional cards. With easy access, ownership and interactivity, we allow greeting cards to fulfill their larger purpose of connecting people as lasting mementos that reflect a life’s journey. Issuing on base layer-2 allows customers to send, create, timestamp, chronicle, own and coin their greetings. This leads to more connection with consumers and increased onboarding opportunities to Base.

How it's made

Challenges we ran into Would be great to have more time to refine the flow, messaging, design and UI/UX. Will continue working on refining the messaging to communicate a strong value proposition that highlights pain and gains to capture web2 users. Will continue work on user experience and design with a distinct focus on making it seamless to capture web2 users.
