How it's made
Challenges we ran into ## Challenges & How We Overcame Them Designing the entire system — from **event creation** to **ticket verification at the venue** — was one of the biggest hurdles. Translating real-world processes like ticketing, admission, and resale into **on-chain logic** took significant time and careful design. Another major challenge was ensuring **security against fraudulent ticket sales**. For example, preventing the resale of simple screenshots or unauthorized duplicate tickets was non-trivial. ### Our Solution - We implemented a **secure QR code generation algorithm** tied directly to the NFT ownership on-chain. - At check-in, the organizer’s scanner validates the QR against the blockchain state, ensuring only the legitimate holder can gain entry. - By enforcing **on-chain royalties**, we also ensured that secondary sales remain organized and beneficial to event organizers. --- A second technical challenge came while designing the **smart contracts**. Each event required its own NFT contract, but deploying a fresh contract for every organizer was **too expensive and inefficient**. ### Our Solution - We adopted the **Clones pattern (EIP-1167 minimal proxies)** to deploy lightweight contract instances for each event. - This drastically reduced **gas costs**, optimized deployment time, and made the system scalable. - Organizers now get their own contract instance without bloating the chain or making the platform prohibitively expensive. By combining these solutions, we built a system that is both **secure** and **scalable**, ensuring a smooth experience for organizers and attendees alike.
