The problem it solves We introduce "musical avatars" to ENS names. Blockchain was too quiet for us. So we decided to give voice to the interactions between users there. - hear the hubbub of what is currently happening on the chain - listen to the chime while finalizing your transaction: from me to whom Are you curious what your name sounds like?
How it's made
Challenges we ran into The whole project was the challenge. In the beginning, we set up several axioms for our sound generator: a) each name has unique melody b) final sound is recognizable as ENS name while allowing tweakable aspects ENS names can be made with almost any UTF-8 character so the number of possibilities is enormous. Jush hashing the names for the generator would not ensure the uniqueness, we had to use different type of data: nibbles...
