About
The problem it solves The Problem it Solves In the Web3 ecosystem, a person’s contributions and reputation are fragmented across multiple platforms. Developers, DAO contributors, and community members leave their digital footprint in many different places such as: Wallet transactions on block explorers NFT collections across marketplaces GitHub repositories DAO governance participation Hackathon projects POAP badges from events Because this data is scattered, understanding someone’s Web3 identity requires manually checking many different platforms like Etherscan, GitHub, Snapshot, and NFT marketplaces. This creates several problems: ❌ Difficult for recruiters or collaborators to evaluate Web3 builders ❌ No unified way to showcase on-chain reputation ❌ Web3 contributors lack a simple portfolio or resume ❌ Identity in Web3 is tied to wallets, but wallets don't present meaningful context As a result, Web3 still lacks a simple, unified identity layer similar to LinkedIn or a personal portfolio in Web2. How ENS-folio Solves This ENS-folio transforms ENS names into decentralized Web3 portfolios. By simply entering an ENS name, the platform automatically aggregates important on-chain and developer data into a single unified profile page. Each ENS profile can showcase: 🧾 Wallet address and on-chain activity 🖼 NFT collections 🎟 POAP badges from events and hackathons 🏛 DAO participation and governance activity 💻 Projects and developer contributions 🔗 Social links like GitHub and Twitter This makes it easy for anyone to instantly understand a person’s Web3 reputation and work. What People Can Use It For ENS-folio makes several existing tasks much easier and more transparent: 🧑💻 For Developers Create a Web3-native resume Showcase hackathons, NFTs, and on-chain activity Share a single ENS-based portfolio link 🏢 For Companies & DAOs Quickly evaluate developers and contributors Verify real on-chain reputation Discover active Web3 builders 🌐 For the Web3 Community Build credible decentralized identities Make Web3 contributions more visible Create shareable ENS-powered personal pages Why This Matters ENS-folio helps bridge the gap between wallet-based identity and real reputation in Web3. Instead of scattered data across platforms, your ENS name becomes your unified Web3 identity and portfolio.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges we faced was resolving ENS names reliably and linking them to the correct wallet address. ENS resolution requires interacting with Ethereum mainnet, while our smart contract for profile storage was deployed on Base Sepolia. Managing data across multiple networks initially caused inconsistencies in fetching profile and wallet data. To solve this, we separated the data flow: ENS names are resolved using an Ethereum mainnet RPC provider, while profile data is fetched from our smart contract deployed on Base Sepolia. This clear separation of network responsibilities ensured reliable ENS resolution while still allowing users to store and own their profile data on Base. Another challenge was aggregating data from multiple APIs such as NFTs, POAP badges, and wallet activity. Each API returned data in different formats, so we had to normalize the responses before displaying them in the UI. By creating a small data processing layer in the frontend, we were able to standardize the data and present it in a clean portfolio interface.
