DocuSafe
Developed an app for encrypted document sharing. Data is stored centrally but encrypted, with hashes on Solana for tamper-proof, decentralized verification.
About
The problem it solves The application addresses key challenges in secure document management by ensuring data security through encryption and privacy with user-controlled master keys. It provides tamper-proof storage by storing file and key hashes on Solana, enabling decentralized verification to detect unauthorized changes. Secure access sharing ensures that only authorized users can decrypt and view files. By combining the efficiency of centralized storage with the integrity and trust of blockchain, the solution achieves scalability and cost-effectiveness, reducing dependency on centralized providers while maintaining robust data integrity and security.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into I began developing late due to the lack of desk space, but volunteers promptly resolved the issue, and I was allotted a desk by 1 PM. Another challenge was the poor Wi-Fi connection, which delayed my work. After waiting unsuccessfully for it to improve, I purchased an unlimited data pack and continued. Later, I faced additional delays waiting for a room, which I was finally allocated at midnight. Since then, I have worked through the night to build the app. Uploading the encrypted app to Amazon S3 was particularly challenging due to limited documentation. I completed the smart contract this morning but couldn’t finish the integration. I kindly request you to consider these challenges when evaluating my project.
