Affordable Spotify Ad Campaigns with Music Analytics

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Spotify Ad Campaigns can be expensive for many independent music artists ($250 minimum for a month-long campaign) despite having a lot of value (most Spotify listeners are on the ad tier). By offering a marketplace that sells ad slots, my platform makes it affordable for independent artists to run frequent ad campaigns. I will additionally be providing analytics to artists so they can see the impact of their ads across multiple platforms. The target users are music artists who do not understand the value of Spotify ads and/or cannot afford to run them on a frequent basis. Many college-aged, young-adult, and/or independent artists would find this platform advantageous. Each campaign can hold 9 different ads. When all 9 ads are in, the campaign will start. Users will select a campaign based on the target demographics. If a campaign matches there own target as a music artist, they are more likely to select it. PSA: You may not be familiar with this model because it is not common. It is not common because most popular digital advertising services do not have high minimum cost. For example, on a Meta advertising platform, you can spend as little as you want for an entire campaign.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into At the last minute, the Coinbase Commerce API stopped working so I was unable to fully test the payment part of my concept. I feel confident that it works though. Separately, the Spotify Ad Studio API requires that you submit a credit card so for the sake of this hackathon I have omitted the functionality to avoid incurring any charges upon submission and because it felt unnecessary. I was also unable to get the musicbook subdomain onto a vercel preview link but you can find what I currently have [here](https://musicbook.dexagon.xyz) I am also not a UI designer by any means so I consistently used vercels AI ui generation
