DePay
Hesitant to Pay? Just DePay!!
About
The problem it solves DePay allows its users to make transactions which can be reverted back, this feature comes in handy in the implementation of money lending services, we have further improved it by allowing lender to approve the usage of his/her funds, take back aportion of the amount lent out at any moment and also charge interest on his lendings. Another additional feature of DePay is that it shows a user his/her transaction history in an organised manner making it pretty easy to keep track of expenses. There is also a central ledger visible to everyone to add some transparency.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Which network to use to deploy our smart contract ? This was really difficult to choose because initially we wanted to deploy it on mainnet but after thinking about the cost of making any changes, we decided to deploy it on Goerli Testnet. Whether to allow the facility of taking back a portion of lent money ? This was a debatable feature and one we had to think about a lot because that would have affected how people use it. We chose to allow this feature with the idea that both the lender and the borrower would be aware about it. How to display the transaction data? There was some bug due to which we got "undefined" every time we tried to read the events emitted in our smart-contract, initially we had no clue what was causing the error but we soon found out that it was due to a difference in the structure/format in which data was sent and what we anticipated.
