    Cross World Attribution

Solving cross device attribution into IRL-to-chain attribution

    Demo

    About

The problem it solves Cross device attribution has always been a problem in digital advertising. How do you track/attribute a user who sees a television ad who then downloads your app? What about taking it a step further, where a user views a superbowl ad on TV and then buys a burger from their neighborhood store? How do you track that so that you know how much your superbowl ad generated? This is where cross world attribution comes in. Imagine beyond tracking actions across digital devices, you could track actions across worlds. Someone seeing a news article on reducing power consumption to not overload the grid on a hot summer day, could get rewarded for that action by their power company. Someone could see a 2 for 1 sale for socks on a billboard, buy socks a few days later, and still get that sale attributed to the billboard. How? See our demo :) We use Base onchain smart contracts and user incentivization to track user actions from digital world to real world, and vice versa.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Ran into some issues with scaffolding and UI. Connecting the wallet scaffold to the contract call presented difficulties as well. We also ran into linter issues which we ended up disabling since this is a hackathon project and type casting to any is okay for typescript :)
