About
The problem it solves ## The Problem CrossCredit Solves ### Current DeFi Limitations Most DeFi protocols trap your assets on single blockchains. If you want to use multiple chains, you're forced to: - **Bridge assets repeatedly** - expensive, slow, and risky - **Split your portfolio** across different chains, reducing capital efficiency - **Manage separate positions** on each network manually - **Pay high gas fees** for constant asset movement ### What CrossCredit Enables **Unified Cross-Chain Lending** - Deposit on Ethereum, borrow on Avalanche (vice-versa)- no bridging needed - Your collateral stays put while you access liquidity anywhere - One position, multiple chains **Capital Efficiency** - Use the same collateral for opportunities across all supported chains - No need to maintain separate reserves on each network - Maximize your asset utilization without the bridging overhead **Simplified DeFi Experience** - Stop juggling multiple positions across different chains - Automatic position synchronization - everything stays in sync - Focus on opportunities, not infrastructure ### Real Use Cases **Multi-Chain Yield Farming** - Keep your blue-chip assets on Ethereum/Avalanche. - Borrow stablecoins on cheaper chains (Avalanche) for farming - Earn yield without moving your main holdings **Cross-Chain Arbitrage** - Spot price differences between chains - Borrow assets on the cheaper chain instantly - Execute trades without waiting for bridges **Risk Management** - Diversify DeFi exposure across chains while maintaining unified collateral - Reduce bridge risk by keeping assets on your preferred chain - Access emergency liquidity on any chain when needed **Portfolio Optimization** - Hold assets where gas is cheap or yields are high - Access opportunities wherever they emerge - Maintain optimal capital allocation across the multi-chain ecosystem
How it's made
Challenges we ran into ## Challenges I Ran Into ### **Cross-Chain Decimal Precision Nightmare** **The Problem:** Different chains use different decimal precisions for the same asset. This broke all my USD calculations when aggregating positions across chains. **How I Fixed It:** Built a decimal normalization system that converts everything to a common precision before calculations: ### **Testing Cross-Chain Logic Locally** **The Problem:** Testing cross-chain functionality locally was nearly impossible. Foundry's testing environment doesn't naturally support multi-chain scenarios. **My Workaround:** - Created mock CCIP contracts for local testing - Built simulation functions that mimicked cross-chain
