Multiple intermediaries—lawyers, notaries, verification providers—must coordinate, IDs are checked manually, and centralized systems hold the records. It’s cumbersome, expensive, geographically limited, and vulnerable to human error or fraud.  Imagine a freelancer in Chile needing to sign a contract with a client in Germany. Weeks can pass, emails are exchanged, documents printed, notarized, and scanned—all just to establish trust. **Claudio rewrites this story.** Claudio acts as an **AI-powered on-chain notary**, streamlining the entire process: - **Instant onboarding:** Users can sign with their own wallet or have Claudio generate one on the spot. - **Smart contract preparation:** Claudo also can write and prepare documents for you. - **Blockchain verification:** Every signature and agreement is immutably recorded on-chain, creating transparent and tamper-proof proof. Key functions include: - **`createAgreement(caseId, employer, coworker)`** - Can only be executed by Claudio. - Deploys a new agreement onchain tied to a specific caseId. - Stores the employer and coworker addresses allowed to sign. - **`signAgreement(caseId)`** - Can only be executed by the wallet addresses registered by Claudio. - Allows authorized participants (employer or coworker) to sign the agreement directly onchain. These functions allow Claudio to **draft and notarize agreements** as smart contracts while ensuring only the intended participants can finalize the signature process. How it's made
Challenges we ran into The first and most important challenge was **getting an engineer (Cristian) and a lawyer (Eugenio) to work together effectively**. Aligning technical possibilities with legal requirements required constant communication and iteration, as each side approached problems from very different perspectives. Another key hurdle was **bridging legal standards with blockchain execution**. Traditional contracts rely on established legal frameworks, signatures, and notarization processes, whereas on-chain agreements require translating those concepts into smart contracts that are enforceable and verifiable on-chain. While we don’t yet have the full legal validation for every jurisdiction, Claudio provides a **working framework for agreements**: it allows parties to draft, sign, and notarize contracts on-chain, creating cryptographic proof and demonstrating that the approach is feasible.
