    About

Why are you participating for Based SEA? My motivation for participating in Based SEA is deeply tied to my belief in the transformative power of decentralized systems to drive positive change in Africa, particularly in addressing the systemic issues of access, transparency, and opportunity. CHORUS, my educational scholarship platform, is focused on underserved African communities, leveraging blockchain to make scholarship funding more equitable and transparent.

    How it's made

What challenges are you focusing on? Access to Education Funding: Many students in underserved African communities face barriers to accessing scholarships and educational resources. Through CHORUS, I aim to streamline the scholarship application process and connect students directly with donors, ensuring transparency and reducing administrative overhead How does your submission address this challenge? CHORUS is a decentralized platform designed to transform the scholarship funding landscape for underserved African communities. By leveraging blockchain technology, CHORUS connects students directly with donors, enabling a transparent and efficient application process. The potential impact of CHORUS is significant: it democratizes access to education funding, empowers students to pursue their academic goals, and builds a culture of giving within the community. By removing intermediaries and reducing administrative costs, we ensure that more funds reach the students who need them the most. Challenges we ran into 1. Technical Challenges: Integration with Blockchain Issue: Difficulty in seamlessly integrating blockchain technology and ensuring secure interactions with smart contracts. Solution: Researched blockchain frameworks, selected Ethereum, and used libraries like Hardhat for development and testing, while engaging with online communities for troubleshooting.
