About
The problem it solves The problem BurgerBrows solves Current DeFi pain points Complex wallet setup: Users must install MetaMask, manage seed phrases, and understand key management, which is a frequent source of errors and lost funds. Fragmented experience: Users constantly switch between a browser and separate DeFi applications or wallet extensions, which interrupts workflows and increases friction. Single-user limitation: Shared or public computers do not safely support multiple DeFi users without exposing credentials or requiring complex setup. High barrier to entry: New users are intimidated by dense interfaces and unfamiliar terminology, making adoption difficult. Testing difficulties: Obtaining testnet tokens and a reliable test environment is often cumbersome for learners and developers. How BurgerBrows addresses these problems Unified Web3 experience BurgerBrows combines standard web browsing and DeFi functionality into a single application so users do not have to switch between browser tabs and external wallet apps. The result is a more cohesive, less error-prone workflow. True multi-user support Per-user wallet generation: The application creates a unique wallet for each device or user session. Complete isolation: User data and keys are isolated so that funds and accounts remain private to each user. Persistent profiles: Wallets and preferences persist across sessions, enabling safe use on shared devices such as internet cafes or family computers. Zero-friction onboarding Built-in faucet: Instant test tokens are available to let users practice without seeking external faucets. Simplified DeFi operations: Common actions (deposit, yield collection, rewards) are accessible via one-click workflows with an approachable UI. Real blockchain integration: Transactions occur on real testnets (for example, Sepolia) while keeping the interface beginner-friendly. Enhanced security and usability Device-based wallet generation: Wallets are derived using device-specific information to minimize accidental collisions. Local key storage: Private keys are kept on-device rather than in a central database, reducing the risk of large-scale breaches. User-paid gas: Users pay network fees directly, preserving the integrity of on-chain operations and avoiding centralized custody of funds. Production-ready architecture: The system is built to support realistic transactions while retaining a safe environment for newcomers. Primary use cases DeFi education: An ideal environment for universities or bootcamps teaching blockchain fundamentals. Internet cafes and public terminals: Enables multiple users to access DeFi safely from the same machine. Family/shared devices: Allows family members to explore crypto without exposing each other’s accounts. Developer testing: Provides a convenient testnet environment for dApp development and QA. Onboarding new users: Eases the transition from Web2 to Web3 by removing setup friction.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenges encountered Multi-user wallet isolation Problem: Ensuring truly unique wallets per user on a single machine was initially difficult. Naive approaches risked collisions or accidental sharing of key material between sessions. Solution: 1-Derived a device/user fingerprint using system information (for example, machine hostname, OS, and the current OS user). 2-Generated a cryptographically secure identifier by hashing the fingerprint (SHA-256) and using a fixed-length prefix to form a user ID. 3-Implemented persistent local storage keyed by that ID to ensure separation and durability of each user’s wallet and data.
