About
The problem it solves Bherd.xyz is a platform which enables communities to propose, fund, and execute targeted media buys to make their collective voices herd. Anyone with a wallet on a supported network can create a proposal and share it with their community for crowdfunding. Bherd uses smart contracts as escrow to ensure the only people that can receive contributed funds are the fulfillment provider after delivery, or the contributor if a proposal does not meet the funding requirement by the deadline and a refund is required. Unlike gofundme, funds cannot be seized if they are contributed to a controversial cause. Once a proposal has met the funding goal, one of our carefully vetted providers will be able to accept the proposal in order to execute delivery of the media content. Once delivery has been fulfilled, the provider will complete the proposal by uploading proof of delivery and the provider will receive the funds escrowed in the contract. After the provider has uploaded proof of delivery, contributors to the proposal are able to mint an NFT to share it on their socials. While our current implementation only supports 2 media types(Banner Planes, and Skywriting), we would love to build flows for several additional media types including but not limited to billboards, radio, video, projection advertising, and drone shows. We believe that the current trajectory of text to image and video is likely to continue and that a platform like Bherd would be enable communities to curate the outputs of AI Agents to create professional quality media. How it's made
Challenges we ran into One hurdle we ran into was trying to come up with a name for the project. We wanted something that would convey our mission of giving voice to the voiceless and that would be applicable to all media types. We choose our working title of Bherd.xyz because it conveys our Bufficorn heritage(B(ufficorn) herd) as well as our proclivity for terrible puns.
