    Pistachio Pods

    Modular automation, made simple.

    About

The problem it solves Managing crypto portfolios is exhausting; timing dips, taking profits, cycling into USDC at the right moment. One mistake, and gains vanish. It's manual, constant, and stressful. Pistachio Pods fix this. Create your own auto-rebalancing strategy once, and it runs itself. Fully onchain.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into For this project, we explored a new way of building an automatic balancing service using emerging account abstraction tools. Instead of relying on traditional, on-chain methods, we used Glider’s REST API and session keys in combination with Pistachio’s wallets. This approach lets users easily set up custom portfolios with automated rebalancing, made possible by the flexibility of account abstraction. One of the most exciting aspects of this setup was how much it streamlined the development process and user experience. Session keys and abstracted wallet flows offer a clear path to building blockchain-powered features that feel intuitive and accessible, even to those unfamiliar with crypto. It’s a glimpse into what the next generation of user-friendly decentralized apps can look like. Working with cutting-edge technology, of course, brought its share of surprises. We ran into some timing issues with wallet indexing immediately after the first deposit and encountered a few API limitations from beta endpoints. But rather than setbacks, these were opportunities to better understand the infrastructure and build around it. Every challenge helped us learn how to adapt to asynchronous behaviors, build more resilient user flows, and design for systems that are still evolving. In just one week, we stood up a fully functional MVP of this feature. The foundation is strong, and we’re now focused on refining the experience and preparing to launch Pistachio Pods on iOS to the public. As the underlying tooling matures, our implementation will only become more seamless, and we’re excited to be part of that evolution. We have attached a test flight link for anyone that would like to join our testing group and try the alpha version of this feature.
