The problem it solves ## 🎮 **The Problem It Solves** ### **Traditional Gaming Issues** - Players spend money but own nothing - No real rewards for time investment - Centralized control - games can disappear - Isolated gaming experiences ### **Web3 Barriers** - Complex wallet setup and high fees - Poor user experience and slow transactions - Focus on earning over fun gameplay ## 🚀 **How Base Jump Fixes This** - **True Ownership**: Players own their achievements as NFTs - **Play-to-Earn**: Skill-based rewards with real value - **Seamless Experience**: One-click wallet connection on Base L2 - **Social Gaming**: Built-in Farcaster integration for community ## 💡 **What People Use It For** - **Casual Gamers**: Fun jumping game with rewards - **Competitive Players**: Global leaderboards and tournaments - **Crypto Users**: Build NFT collections through gameplay - **Developers**: Learn Web3 gaming implementation ## **Makes Gaming Easier & Safer** - **No Downloads**: Play instantly in farcaster - **Cross-Device**: Progress saved to blockchain - **Anti-Cheat**: Blockchain verification prevents manipulation - **Low Fees**: Base L2 keeps costs under $0.01 Smart Contract Address(es) **TokenReward Contract**: `0x696dCAb161e5818FAC129860BB68d1644169Ec63` - **Purpose**: Manages token rewards and game session limits - **Functionality**: Handles reward distribution, signature verification, and game cooldowns ## **How TokenReward.sol Works:** The TokenReward contract is a **game management and reward distribution system** that: ### **Security Features:** - **Signature Verification**: Uses ECDSA signatures from your server to verify legitimate game sessions - **Replay Protection**: Each signature can only be used once - **Server Authorization**: Only your authorized server can sign valid game sessions ### Reward Distribution: - **Token Claims**: Users can claim ERC-20 tokens (USDC, DEGEN, custom tokens) with valid signatures - **Flexible Rewards**: Supports any ERC-20 token for rewards - **Owner Controls**: You can update server signers and withdraw stuck tokens ### **Key Functions:** - `startGame()` - Tracks game sessions and enforces limits - `claimTokenReward()` - Allows users to claim tokens with valid signatures - `getUserGameInfo()` - Shows user's current game status and limits - `canStartGame()` - Checks if user can play another game This contract ensures fair play, prevents abuse, and securely distributes rewards while maintaining a smooth gaming experience for your 100+ users! 🚀

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into ## 🐛 **Main Challenges I Ran Into** ### **1. Farcaster Integration Complexity** **Problem**: Implementing Farcaster Mini App from scratch to production manifest was extremely challenging. **Issues**: - Complex authentication flow with account association - Manifest configuration with proper metadata - Webhook setup and validation - Frame integration and button actions **Solution**: Built custom authentication middleware, configured proper `farcaster.json` manifest, and set up secure webhook endpoints. ### **2. Silent Score Submission Bug** **Problem**: Game scores weren't being submitted when players finished games. The function existed but never triggered on game over. **Solution**: Replaced the entire scoring system with a custom function that only submits all-time high scores. Here's a cleaned-up and more polished version of your entry with mention of Phaser and some technical flavor, while keeping it concise and professional: ### **3. Destructive Platform Logic** **Problem**: Destructive platforms were being destroyed the moment the player touched them, rather than after the player had jumped off — breaking intended gameplay mechanics. **Solution**: Implemented a state flag to track when the player is standing on a destructive platform. Using Phaser’s collision system, destruction is now delayed until the player exits the platform. This required a more nuanced approach to collision callbacks and player state management within Phaser’s physics engine, but ensures consistent and fair gameplay.
