    About

The problem it solves Launching new markets in crypto can be complex, manual, and sometimes gated. Today, creating a tokenized market can require: - Smart contract development - Oracle integration - Liquidity bootstrapping - Risk parameter configuration - Frontend integration - Ongoing management At the same time, AI agents are becoming capable of reasoning and planning, but they lack native economic rails to autonomously deploy and operate financial infrastructure. Atlas solves this through a new primitive, permissionless AI-launched markets. With Atlas: - A user can describe an asset (including niche or emerging assets) that they want to trade in plain language - An AI agent can verify data availability - Deploy infrastructure - Initialize liquidity - And enable trading immediately Once live, users can communicate with a secondary agent to: - Buy or sell exposure via AMM - Mint overcollateralized tokens - Redeem exposure against oracle price - Provide or remove liquidity Atlas is built on Kite AI for both execution and settlement. It uses x402 micropayments to make the AI agents completely self-sustaining. Use of AI tools and agents Atlas operates through two self-sustaining AI agents that coordinate to create and manage tokenized markets on-chain. 1. Market Creation Agent The Market Creation Agent is responsible for launching new markets. The flow is as follows - A user describes an asset they want to trade - The agent researches the asset using external APIs and data sources - Identifies and validates a stable oracle-compatible pricing source - Configures market parameters - Deploys the AMM and vault contracts - Initializes liquidity using user-provided capital If no reliable pricing source is found, the agent aborts deployment. This process is executed on-chain and tied to an x402 micropayment. 2. Trading & Execution Agent The Trading Agent enables users to interact with existing markets through conversation. It has the ability to: - Buy from the AMM pool - Sell to the AMM pool - Mint overcollateralized exposure - Redeem exposure - Add liquidity - Remove liquidity These actions are also executed on-chain and tied to an x402 micropayment. If funds are insufficient or execution conditions fail, the agent returns a structured failure response. Markets deployed by the Creation Agent are immediately accessible to the Trading Agent. Fees from swaps and minting flow into the vault treasury. Liquidations, mint fees, and swap fees plan to help sustain redemption arbitrage.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Payment token didn’t support EIP-3009 — The testnet token we used had no transferWithAuthorization, so x402 settlement reverted. We added EIP-3009 to MockUSDC and used that for payments. With Kite Agent Passport, a supported token or flow could avoid this. No facilitator for our network — We got “no facilitator registered” when trying to use an external service. We switched to direct settlement: the backend submits the signed EIP-3009 tx itself. With Agent Passport, we could sign once and let Kite handle submission and gas. Negative payment amount — A negative agent fee led to a negative uint256 and revert. We clamp payment to ≥ 0 in the backend and set the fee input to min="0" in the UI. Activity visibility — We wanted mints/redeems visible without scrolling. We added a Recent activity table above the Vault and persist it in localStorage per market.
