    About

The problem it solves Local artists are behind in adopting technologies to amplify the reach of their work. Through the Metaverse, I hope to create a new disruptive medium/bridge to showcase local talent to the international web3 community, especially collectors, jumpstarting a whole new kind of economy for the city. Collaboration on the project will be open to local devs, fostering onboarding and impact through art.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Lack of support. There is no local precedent for financially supporting this kind of project. I found the current administration of 'Parque Intercultural' willing to support the first stage in hopes that the MVP will attract more interest, the first wave of users, and eventually, financial support to continue developing the vision. The project will have several stages, considering that web3 tech adoption in the city is practically zero. 1st Stage: 3D space/gallery for artists to showcase their work. In this stage, we will set up the galleries manually. There is no user system or web3 implementation developed. There is one gallery/space recreated in the metaverse, the main clock tower of the complex. Resources are shared openly on IPFS (geometries and code) for anyone to recreate or work on their version. 2nd Stage: Coinbase smart wallet integration for accounts and a Base NFT collection for user profiles/identity. Artists will be able to edit their gallery on their own, uploading an image to IPFS or loading an NFT from their collections with a link to any marketplace the artist chooses. 3rd Stage: Avatar design, mint, and in-app controls implementation. New geometries and textures implementation. 4th Stage: First implementation for simultaneous avatars in the metaverse and the first iteration of an in-gallery NFT marketplace. 5th Stage: Top secret onwards. Where I'm At? The first stage was worked on for two months and officially released this past July 28.
