About
The problem it solves AidChain revolutionise humanitarian aid distribution by addressing critical challenges in traditional charity systems. We solved the following Core Problems: 1. Transparency Crisis in Donations - Traditional charities lack real-time transparency on fund usage - Donors never know if their money reaches intended beneficiaries - Solution: On-chain donation tracking with immutable records on Sui blockchain 2. Inefficient Aid Distribution - Manual verification processes for beneficiaries - High administrative overhead (up to 30% of donations lost to admin costs) - Solution: Smart contract automation with weekly spending limits and automated verification 3. Lack of Targeted Giving Options - Donors can't choose specific causes or individuals - One-size-fits-all approach doesn't match donor preferences - Solution: Marketplace of curated donation cards for specific causes and verified beneficiaries 4. Beneficiary Identity & Privacy - Vulnerable populations risk exposure when receiving aid - Complex verification processes exclude those who need help most - Solution: zkLogin authentication preserving privacy while ensuring legitimate beneficiaries 5. Financial Inclusion Barriers - Traditional banking requirements exclude many aid recipients - Geographic limitations prevent global aid distribution - Solution: Blockchain-based system accessible worldwide with just internet connection 💡 Global Use Cases: Disaster Relief: Instant, traceable aid to verified victims Refugee Support: Privacy-preserving assistance for displaced populations Educational Funding: Direct scholarships to students with progress tracking Medical Emergencies: Rapid funding for urgent healthcare needs Community Development: Transparent funding for local infrastructure projects AidChain represents the future of humanitarian aid: transparent, efficient, privacy-preserving, and built natively on Sui's cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure. 🚀
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Challenges I ran into is as following: 1. Sui Move Smart Contract Architecture: Challenge: Designing donation pool vs individual card balance management Solution: Implemented dual-routing system where general aid goes to shared pool for beneficiaries, while targeted charity maintains separate balances per card :) 2. Walrus/Seal Integration for Secure Storage Challenge: Storing sensitive beneficiary data while maintaining privacy Solution: Implemented encrypted credential storage on Walrus with Seal access control, allowing beneficiaries to control who can access their information
