    About

Smart Pass a decentralized password manager that uses the Cometh network, Safe protocol, Web3.bio API, Mask Network, Tableland, IPFS, and Scroll network to provide users with a secure and convenient way to store and manage their passwords. Unlike traditional password managers that store your sensitive information on centralized servers, Smart Pass operates on the principles of decentralization. This means that your passwords and data are stored across a network of nodes rather than on a single, vulnerable server. This architecture enhances security and privacy. Smart Pass aims to provide a comprehensive solution for password management with an emphasis on security, privacy, and decentralized principles. Users can expect greater control over their password data, reduced risk of data breaches, and the potential to benefit from the integration with DeFi protocols. This approach aligns with the broader trend of utilizing blockchain and decentralized technologies to enhance digital security and privacy. However, it's essential to note that the success of such a project depends on user adoption and the ability to deliver on the promises of security and convenience.

    How it's made

Smart Pass works by storing the user's passwords and other personal information in a decentralized manner, using a variety of blockchain technologies. This makes it much more difficult for hackers to steal the user's passwords, as they would need to compromise multiple different systems in order to do so. - Cometh network The Cometh network is a decentralized file storage and retrieval network. It is used to store the user's passwords and other personal information in a secure and encrypted manner. - Safe protocol The Safe protocol is a decentralized identity and multi-signature wallet solution. It is used to manage the user's passwords and other personal information, and to provide the user with a secure and convenient way to log in to their account. - Web3.bio API The Web3.bio API is used to fetch the user's profile information from their Web3.bio profile. This information is used to pre-populate the user's profile in Smart Pass. - Lit Protocol Lit Protocol encryption and decryption is used for storing the user data safe and blockchain. - Tableland Tableland is a decentralized database that is used to store the user's passwords and other personal information in a structured and queryable format. - IPFS IPFS is a decentralized storage network that is used to store the user's profile image and other files. - Scroll network The Scroll network is a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It is used to make Smart Pass transactions fast and affordable. - PolygonID VC If the user loses access to their primary device, they can recover their password manager using their recovery wallet. To do this, the user simply needs to navigate to the Smart Pass project website and type in their key identifier. The password manager will then issue an OTP verifiable credential to the user's recovery wallet on Polygon ID. The user can then use this OTP to access their password manager.
