    SafeGate

Post-payment verification and evidence infrastructure for agentic commerce.

    About

SafeGate is an independent post-payment verification and evidence layer for digital and agentic commerce. Payments can prove that money moved, but they do not prove that the intended commerce outcome actually happened. SafeGate binds payment requests to transactions, verifies payment outcomes, tracks fulfillment, prevents replay, and produces portable evidence and commerce proofs. During ETHOnline 2026, we are extending the existing SafeGate core with a new agentic-payment flow designed for x402-based services and Hedera.

    How it's made

SafeGate uses a verification-first architecture that separates payment movement from commerce outcome verification. The existing core handles request/payment binding, replay-safe consumption, fulfillment state, signed evidence, and portable proof generation. For ETHOnline 2026, the new work will add a Hedera-integrated x402 agentic-payment path in which an agent can access a paid service, produce a verifiable payment event, and pass that event into SafeGate for independent post-payment verification and evidence generation. The hackathon-specific Hedera and x402 components will be developed and committed separately so the new Continuity Track work is clearly distinguishable from the pre-existing SafeGate codebase.
