    Pawn Shop

Lending and borrowing platform for vaulted collectibles and alt RWAs

    Demo

    About

Pawnshop is a platform where collectors can borrow upto 35% of the fair value of the card. This enables collectors to access liquidity while holding onto their cards. The plan is to build other derivatives and assets leveraging alt RWAs. This includes a Pokemon Card Index and perp dex. Also exploring how tokenizing of RWAs can be made more efficient so we can own all parts of the stack.

    How it's made

This was my first solo hacking experience. I learnt a lot designing the flow and definitely leveraged AI to accelerate the process. I had some difficulties setting everything up but figured it out eventually. Setting this up on testnet was a challenge since the cards didn't exist. The biggest problem with the project was the lack of a reliable price oracle for pokemon cards. The alt option was to used Realyse to fetch the latest fair value of the cards. But ended up fetching it all manually from PSA and using the last sale price. Used world ID to link wallets to user, this makes sure that we have a reputation graph built as the user uses the protocol more. Curvegrid MultiBass was super helpful as an index storing all data. ENSv2 helped us create sub registers and names for every contract in the protocol and gave it different permissions.
