How it's made
HashSplits leverages the unique capabilities of Hedera and integrates cutting-edge AI through ElizaOS to create a seamless revenue-sharing experience. ARCHITECTURE: The project follows a modular architecture with three main components: 1. SMART CONTRACT LAYER (Solidity) - The Orchestrator.sol contract that handles all on-chain logic - Implements split creation with multiple recipients and customizable percentages - Supports both native HBAR and HTS token deposits - Features allowance-based distribution for controlled payouts - Records agreements on-chain via blob IDs for transparency 2. AI AGENT LAYER (ElizaOS + TypeScript) - Built on ElizaOS framework for conversational AI capabilities - Character-driven agent that understands revenue splitting context - Natural language processing for intuitive user commands - Manages state and memory for ongoing conversations - Integrated with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq) 3. PLUGIN ECOSYSTEM (Custom Hedera Integration) - Created two custom ElizaOS plugins: a) eliza-plugin-hedera: Core Hedera SDK integration b) hashsplits-orchestrator-plugin: Smart contract interaction tools - Implements Hedera Agent Kit for seamless blockchain operations - Tools for createSplit, depositNative, depositToken, distribute, recordAgreement - Automatic transaction signing and gas management TECHNOLOGIES USED: • Hedera Hashgraph - For fast, low-cost consensus and native services • Hedera Token Service (HTS) - Multi-token support • Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) - Immutable agreement recording • Solidity - Smart contract development • ElizaOS - AI agent framework • TypeScript/Bun - Fast JavaScript runtime • Viem - Ethereum library for contract interactions • Forge/Foundry - Smart contract testing and deployment NOTABLE HACKS: • We bridged the gap between ElizaOS's Ethereum-focused tooling and Hedera's unique APIs by creating a custom plugin that translates between the two ecosystems • Implemented a stateful conversation system that remembers split contexts across messages • Used Hedera's native allowance system for gasless distributions • Leveraged HCS for off-chain data storage while maintaining on-chain references This project showcases the power of combining Hedera's enterprise-grade blockchain with conversational AI, making complex financial operations as simple as having a chat.
