    About

Boneyard is an onchain growth marketplace where projects create campaigns and pay promoters for verifiable onchain results, rather than relying on screenshots, self-reported numbers, or subjective claims of reach. Projects define the KPIs that count as campaign progress and assign reward tiers to those KPIs. Depending on the protocol, Boneyard can track common onchain actions such as token mints, swaps, staking, deposits, lending, borrowing, bridges, liquidity provision, pool creation, trading volume, TVL, and active users. Promoters receive a unique BoneyLink for each campaign, which attributes referred users to them. When those users perform qualifying actions on the project's contracts, the activity is independently observed and credited to the correct promoter. Campaigns can combine multiple KPIs and reward promoters as they cross predefined thresholds. For example, a project could reward a promoter for bringing 10 new wallets, 25 swaps, $10,000 in trading volume, or 5 stakers. Because the underlying activity occurs onchain, campaign progress can be verified against blockchain data instead of trusting either the project or promoter to report results faithfully. Projects can also set a BoneyScore requirement for campaign participation. BoneyScore combines a promoter's Ethos credibility score and social reach into a single signal that projects can use to gate campaigns. A higher threshold restricts campaigns to promoters who meet the project's desired credibility and reach requirements, while setting the requirement to 0 leaves the campaign open to all promoters. The result is a growth marketplace where projects define exactly what success means, promoters are rewarded for producing measurable outcomes, and campaign performance is backed by verifiable onchain activity.

    How it's made

Boneyard is built as a full-stack Web3 application, with Solidity smart contracts handling the core protocol logic, an independent verification layer for onchain KPIs, and The Graph subgraphs powering the application’s data layer. Solidity + Foundry: The core Boney protocol is implemented as immutable Solidity contracts and developed, tested, deployed, and debugged with Foundry. Boney Protocol Smart Contracts: CampaignRegistry creates campaigns, Campaign manages immutable campaign configuration and settlement, EscrowVault securely holds reward pools, AttributionRegistry handles signed promoter attribution, and the verification contracts enforce KPI limits before rewards can be released. EIP-712: Users sign time-bound attribution messages that explicitly associate their wallet with a promoter's BoneyLink. This bounds the user to the promoters and records every KPIs-affecting onchain action which is then used to credit the promoter. Attribution of referrals (anyone arriving through promoters boneylink) is not permanent and can be transferred to another promoter, same as their verifiable actions. Boney credits who held the touch at the time of carrying out the action onchain via project contract. KPI Verification + Relayer: Boneyard uses an independent relayer to observe blockchain events and calculate cumulative KPI progress. This allows campaigns to track things such as mints, swaps, staking, deposits, bridges, liquidity, volume, TVL, and other contract-specific activity. The smart contracts enforce that reported progress cannot exceed what the independent verifier has observed. The Graph / Boney Subgraph: The Boney Subgraph indexes Boneyard's contracts and onchain activity into structured, queryable data. It serves multiple roles in the application: it is one of Boneyard's verification data sources, provides the data used to enumerate campaigns across the marketplace, and powers BoneyBoard, the protocol leaderboard that ranks users by the actions they perform on and through Boneyard. It also powers BoneyCard, a shareable promoter progress card showing their Boneyard activity and performance history. This turns verified onchain activity into a portable reputation/proof-of-work layer for promoters. Next.js + React: The frontend is built with Next.js, providing the marketplace, campaign interfaces, promoter dashboards, BoneyBoard, BoneyCards, and wallet interactions. Next.js provides the React-based full-stack application framework. GraphQL: Used to query the Boney Subgraph efficiently for campaigns, activity, promoter performance, rankings, and historical data rather than repeatedly reconstructing this information directly from raw blockchain RPC calls. The architecture deliberately separates execution, attribution, verification, and indexing: smart contracts enforce the rules and custody rewards; signed attribution establishes who should receive credit; independent onchain observers determine what actually happened; and The Graph turns that activity into the data layer powering the marketplace and social surfaces(boneyscores and boneyboard). what we finally built out: a complete marketplace that protects protocols against dubious, malicious promoters(KOLs) as well as ensuring reputable ones get paid as long as they achieve predefined KPI goals.
