The problem it solves A mini-app built with Base MiniKit allowing users to discover trending Zora's content coins, manage a portfolio, and create new content coins. **Background** Zora’s Coin Protocol (https://zora.co/) allows for easy creation and management of ERC-20 content coins for creator monetization on the Base blockchain. Each piece of content becomes its own tradable token, with over 1,000 tokens and more than $1M traded daily. ZoraCoinZap simplifies interaction with content coins by providing an intuitive interface for discovering trending tokens, managing a portfolio, and creating new coins — all within a Farcaster MiniApp that leverages Base MiniKit and integrates directly with Coinbase Wallet for seamless onchain interactions. **Highlighted Features** - Create content coins on Base Mainnet in minutes. You will receive 1% of the supply upon creation and earn a commission from every trade. - Instantly listed on Uniswap V3 through the Zora SDK, making the coin tradable on ZoraCoinZap, Uniswap, Zora, and other platforms. - Discover 1,000+ Zora content coins, created using this app or other apps. - Built with Base MiniKit and integrated with Coinbase Wallet. Go to zora-coin-zap.vercel.app or launch it from the Farcaster MiniApps section. 2. Connect your wallet when prompted. 3. Browse coins under Trending, Top, or Newest, then click on a coin to view details. 4. Enter the amount you wish to buy or sell. 5. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. **How To Create** 1. Navigate to the Create tab. 2. Fill in the coin name, symbol, and description. 3. Upload an image for your coin. 4. Add any additional metadata properties. 5. Click Create Coin and approve the transaction in your wallet. By default, 1 billion tokens are minted upon creation. 1% (10 million tokens) will be sent to your wallet, and the remaining tokens will be used to set up a liquidity pool on Uniswap V3, paired with a small amount of ETH. **Future Improvements** - This version supports trading and creating content coins paired only with ETH. How it's made
Challenges we ran into - This was our first time using Base MiniKit and the Coinbase SDK. Initially, we planned to build an AI-agent framework on top of AgentKit with a focus on the MCP angle and spent about a week on it. - However, we couldn't get it working as intended, so we pivoted to Mini App development just 3–4 days ago. - We had previously explored the Zora and we think the concept is great. It allows minting of ERC-20 content coins and instant listing on Uniswap V3. This makes it possible to recreate the meme coin hype from Solana on Base and there's no better time to get involved. - Working with Farcaster was also new for us. We quickly learned how this novel concept works also with a well-established SDK of MiniKit. Both Farcaster and MiniKit allow us to go-live on Mainnet in just a few days. - However, we faced some limitations. The current setup doesn’t support trading with non-ETH tokens, so coins created through our app can only be paired with ETH. In the long term, we plan to enable trading directly through Uniswap pools to overcome this.
