The problem it solves In today's digital age, traditional social networking platforms have been marred by issues such as data privacy breaches, unfair monetization practices, and centralized control. Users often have no control over their data, content creators struggle to receive fair compensation, and the community has little to no say in the platform's development and governance. X̅ Universe addresses these issues by providing a decentralized social networking platform built on the Ethereum blockchain. Users have complete control over their data, can directly monetize their interactions and content, and participate in community governance. Additionally, the platform offers enhanced privacy controls and a secure, transparent environment.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into One significant challenge was managing the scalability of the platform while ensuring low transaction costs for the users. Ethereum, although widely used and supported, often faces scalability issues and high gas fees. To overcome this, we optimized our smart contracts to minimize gas consumption and are actively exploring layer 2 solutions and other scalability technologies. Another challenge was ensuring a user-friendly experience despite the complexities of blockchain technology. We spent considerable time designing the user interface and user experience to make it as intuitive as possible, even for users unfamiliar with blockchain and cryptocurrency.
