How it's made

Challenges we ran into 🛠 Building Whale Hunter was a technically challenging but highly rewarding experience. Several hurdles were faced during development: ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔧 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: - Continuous polling of Alchemy API across multiple chains with accurate filtering. ✅ Solution: Designed a modular monitoring service polling every 30 seconds with optimized filtering. 💬 𝗫𝗠𝗧𝗣 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: - Building a real-time decentralized chatbot with message state handling. ✅ Solution: Leveraged XMTP SDK, implemented retry & fallback mechanisms for smooth conversation flow. 🤖 𝗔𝗜-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: - Dynamic question creation based on live whale movements was complex. ✅ Solution: Used Coinbase AgentKit with prompt engineering to generate contextual and meaningful questions. 🔐 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: - Smooth wallet connection using WalletConnect while ensuring security. ✅ Solution: Integrated WalletConnect v2 with error handling, session management & multi-chain support. 🚀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: - Avoiding UI lags while processing real-time data. ✅ Solution: Used Next.js 15 server components & optimized state management. 🔄 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: - Synchronizing game logic, real-time alerts, chat, and leaderboards. ✅ Solution: Architected isolated microservices handling game logic, chat, monitoring & profiles independently. ⏳ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀: - Balancing feature ambitions with hackathon deadlines. ✅ Solution: Smart feature prioritization, modular code, and AI pair programming via Cursor AI accelerated development. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚀 Every challenge improved our system architecture, modularity, and ultimately delivered a polished, scalable Web3 gaming experience.
