About
The problem it solves **Decentralized Topic Discussions** Unlike centralized forums where a single company controls moderation and data storage, our platform allows topic-based chats to live on decentralized infrastructure, ensuring conversations can’t be arbitrarily deleted or censored. **No Proof of Authenticity in Traditional Chats** Anyone can impersonate others on Web2 forums. By linking messages to a verified wallet address via MetaMask, every post has a cryptographic signature proving it came from the real user. **Data Breaches & Privacy Risks** Web2 sign-ups require personal info that can be hacked or sold. With wallet-based login, no personal data is stored — your wallet is your identity. **Limited Global Access** Web2 platforms often block regions or accounts. In Web3, as long as you have a wallet, you can connect — no borders, no bias.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **MetaMask Connection & Login Flow** When we first integrated wallet login, many users got stuck at the connect stage. Some browsers didn’t detect MetaMask at all, while others failed to trigger the signature request. Inexperienced Web3 users often closed the prompt, thinking it was a payment request, not realizing it was just a free authentication step. **Solution**: We added automatic MetaMask detection with clear error messages if it wasn’t installed, plus a section that explained what the signature request meant, why it was safe, and how it linked their wallet to their profile. **Logout Functionality Missing** At first, users had no clear way to disconnect off the wallet, leading to confusion when they wanted to discconnect their wallet. **Solution** : Added a proper disconnect wallet button that clears session data and triggers MetaMask’s account switch prompt.
