VaultX
The first RWA art marketplace within the Base ecosystem
About
The problem it solves VaultX addresses several critical issues within the art market and blockchain ecosystem. Firstly, many artists and Web2 users are unfamiliar with blockchain technology and find it challenging to access this ecosystem. Traditional art platforms have not exposed them to the benefits and functionalities of blockchain-based systems, limiting their reach to a broader audience. Secondly, the process of minting digital art or creating blockchain wallets involves complex steps, such as managing mnemonic passwords, which can be daunting for non-technical users. This complexity acts as a significant barrier to entry for many potential users. Lastly, while the traditional art market involves numerous intermediaries, MonsterX aims to enhance accessibility and transparency by partnering with these intermediaries. By integrating blockchain technology, we streamline transactions and reduce inefficiencies while maintaining essential partnerships within the art market. This approach lowers costs, enhances trust, and provides a more inclusive and efficient platform for art investment and ownership.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **1. Thirdweb integration with wagmi Login functions in Create-React-App Project** Issue: Difficulty integrating wagmi user authentication and thirdweb functions in create-react-app project. Solution: Ensure compatibility between latest both libraries. Implement the wagmi login functions to handle user authentication and wallet connections, and use thirdweb’s hooks for contract interactions. **2. Using USDC and Polygon MATIC Currency with Oracle Price in NFT marketplace** * Issue: Fetching and using real-time price data for USDC and Polygon MATIC using an oracle (like Chainlink) for accurate pricing in the marketplace. * Solution: Integrate Chainlink oracles to fetch the latest price data. Use the Chainlink price feed contracts for USDC and MATIC. Ensure to update the contract logic to utilize these prices in transactions. **3. Integrate Smart Contract with Thirdweb Library and Original Smart Contract Design** Solution: Utilize thirdweb’s SDK to deploy and interact with custom smart contracts. Follow thirdweb’s documentation to customize the integration while preserving the original contract’s logic. Ensure the contract is compatible with thirdweb’s framework. **4. Native account login with ERC 4337** Our current system features a frontend marketplace and admin panel with native account login using ERC4337, leveraging smart contracts for enhanced security and functionality. However, we face issues with integration complexity and user onboarding due to the advanced technology. To address these, we plan to simplify the integration process and provide comprehensive user guides and support. **Our biggest challenge was the lack of benchmark projects. With no precedents for RWA art marketplace features, we had to design and develop everything from scratch. This often felt isolating during the short hackathon, but it ultimately made the experience more rewarding and filled with pride. We extend our gratitude to Base for providing this opportunity.**
