    Trade Clash

    News-driven AI economy simulation 🕹

    About

The problem it solves Transforms doomscrolling news into profitable entertainment with friends. Trade Clash makes following world events actually pay. Instead of doom-tweeting about oil crises in group chats, you recruit those same friends to build economic empires that profit from the chaos. Your terminally online friend becomes your top recruiter. That econ nerd who called the Fed move? Your secret weapon. Real economic models power the game but you learn through memes, not textbooks. Watch AI leaders overreact to headlines, spot patterns ("oil spike = PumpFederation pumps"), profit together. It's the first SocialFi game where being social actually multiplies your economic power. News that pays you to pay attention. Economic education that doesn't feel like homework. Smart Contract Address(es) 0x13A46c19924E8a8938EE898b7edB66E2f37d39a0

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Making an economic sim that wasn't boring as hell. Academic models produce realistic but snoozefest results. Fixed it by giving AI leaders "PolicyAggression" sliders cranked to 11 - now they overreact to everything like actual crypto degens. AI agents kept going insane or all converging to the same boring strategy. Had to hardcode personality biases and give them memory of who screwed them on tariffs. Now each leader stays unhinged in their own special way. The deterministic engine meant every game played exactly the same. Boring. Made real news the chaos injection - every headline creates different butterfly effects. Oil spike during a tech boom hits different than during a trade war. Web apps look like web apps. Needed game vibes. Built "The Chaos Observatory" - basically a 3D globe where you watch economies go to war. Numbers became visual chaos. Frontend completely shit the bed with real-time updates. Too much data, too many animations. Rewrote everything with WebGL, moved calculations to edge workers. Now smooth as butter. News pipeline was pain. How do you turn "Fed raises rates 25 bps" into game events? Built a parser that maps headlines to triggers like ENERGY_PRICE_CHANGE that make specific leaders lose their minds in predictable ways.
