About
The problem it solves **Cross-Chain Gaming Without the Friction** **The Current Problem** - Blockchain gaming today is **fragmented and user-hostile**. Players face multiple barriers that prevent mainstream adoption: - **Chain Silos**: Games exist on isolated blockchains with no interoperability - **Bridge Hell**: Manual token bridging is expensive, slow, and risky (billions lost in bridge hacks) - **Gas Token Juggling**: Need native tokens for each chain (ETH, MATIC, AVAX, etc.) - **Trust Issues**: Centralized platforms control randomness and can manipulate outcomes - **Wallet Complexity**: Different interfaces and experiences per blockchain **How Our Platform Solves This** **True Cross-Chain Gaming** - **One game, all chains** - Players compete together regardless of their preferred blockchain - **No manual bridging** - Automatic cross-chain coordination via Chainlink CCIP - **Unified leaderboards** - Reputation and winnings follow you across all supported chains **Flexible Payment System** - **Pay with what you have** - ETH, BONE, TOAD, or accumulated winnings - **Auto-conversion** - Smart contracts handle token swaps automatically with slippage protection - **Gas abstraction** - Pay transaction fees using gaming tokens instead of native gas **Provably Fair Gaming** - **Chainlink VRF integration** - True randomness that cannot be manipulated - **Transparent on-chain logic** - All game mechanics verifiable by anyone - **No house edge tricks** - Smart contracts ensure fair prize distribution **Enhanced Security** - **Non-custodial** - Your funds never leave blockchain custody - **Battle-tested infrastructure** - Built on Chainlink's proven oracle network - **Reentrancy protection** - Multiple security layers prevent common exploits **Real-World Impact** **For Casual Users** - **Easy onboarding** - No need to understand bridging or gas tokens - **Fair gameplay** - Cannot be cheated by the house or other players - **Social gaming** - Play with friends across different blockchain ecosystems **For DeFi Users** - **Capital efficiency** - Use existing token holdings without complex swaps - **Cross-chain portfolio** - Manage assets across multiple chains through gaming - **Yield opportunities** - Earn while having fun, with transparent tokenomics **For the Ecosystem** - **Increased adoption** - Lower barriers bring more users to blockchain gaming - **Liquidity bridging** - Natural token flow between chains without explicit bridges - **Developer framework** - Extensible platform for building more cross-chain games #### **Cross-Chain Message Handling** - **CCIP integration** for secure cross-chain communication - **Automatic winner notifications** across all participating chains - **Round synchronization** ensures consistent game state everywhere ### **Future Expansion** The platform's modular design supports: - **Multiple game types** - From current vrf based games to more complex strategy games with chainlink functions.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into Technical Challenges Encountered: 1. VRF Gas Limit Issues Problem: VRF requests were failing due to insufficient gas limits Root Cause: Large contract size (>24,576 bytes)with long callbacks required higher gas limits than smaller contracts Solution: Increased callback gas limit from default to higher values. Learning: Etherscan UI has different gas behavior than CLI calls for large contracts 2. VRF Price Estimation Confusion Problem: calculateRequestPrice() and calculateRequestPriceNative() returned 0 Root Cause: These functions use tx.gasPrice which is 0 in read-only calls Solution: Switched to using estimateRequestPrice() with explicit gas price parameter 3. Contract Size Limitations Challenge: Feature-rich contracts approaching or exceeding Ethereum's contract size limit Impact: Different behavior when calling functions via different interfaces Mitigation: Code optimization and careful gas limit management Development Insights: Testing Complexity Cross-chain testing requires coordination between multiple networks Different testnets have varying reliability and behavior Gas estimation differs between networks for identical contract code Chainlink Integration Learning Curve Understanding the difference between direct funding vs subscription models for Functions Learning optimal gas limits for different contract sizes Debugging cross-chain message flows across multiple block explorers Mainnet Deployment Preparation Extensive testnet validation before mainnet deployment Gas optimization crucial for cost-effective mainnet operations Need for robust error handling and fallback mechanisms ChainLink support on helped debug some issues.
