    About

The problem it solves Tims is an application that allows everyone to create Web3-based groups or teams where members can deposit funds into shared “Tims” with different purposes. These Tims or (vaults) can be used for a variety of goals — pooling money for a rotating savings group, a gathering, a social cause, a vacation, or simply saving together with family. ---------- Tims delivers real, everyday value by letting any group—friends, family, or even strangers—team up to reach shared goals and manage pooled funds with full transparency and verifiability. Powered by Web3, it offers collaborative features traditional banks and finance apps simply can’t match. Tims can evolve into a platform where practical use cases unite crypto-native and non-native users, making it effortless for anyone to collaborate toward shared goals. -------------- ### **Some example use cases:** 1. Pool money for a party. 2. Invest money with three family members to plan a trip within a year. 3. Organize a rotating savings group (known as a *tanda*). 4. Save together as a couple for a goal, like buying a car. 5. Collect funds for a group bet — for example, an NFL Fantasy League. 6. Raise money for a charitable cause. 7. Use Tims as a payment method for freelancers.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into - Challenges I encountered - Writing and structuring the smart contracts - Deploying those contracts - Managing connections to multiple networks - Designing a user-friendly interface - Creating and testing the frontend services - Defining a scalable, readable data model - Handling errors for every contract transaction - Optimizing gas usage in contract functions In addition to these development issues, the documentation posed its own difficulties: consistent information on integrating the project with Base’s tools was hard to find, and most examples focus on React rather than the Angular stack I’m using.
