    About

The problem it solves The integrative project consists of analyzing the production process of a canned fish product from the company Marechiare, belonging to the Veraz Group and located in the port of the city of Mar del Plata. The product in question is natural canned mackerel. To do this, the different stages of the process were described in detail and represented in 3D drawing software. The equipment used was identified, a flowchart was created, a mass balance was carried out, and the distribution of personnel, raw materials, and waste in the plant was analyzed. Additionally, the plant's production capacity and the consumption of its inputs (water and electricity) were estimated. Based on the analysis conducted, improvements are proposed with the aim of optimizing the canned mackerel production line. The survey of the mackerel canning production line at the Marechiare company provided valuable information about the production process and the factors that influence it. This study represents an important contribution to the fish canning industry, as the results obtained can be used for decision-making in terms of production planning and management. Additionally, it can serve as a basis for future research on the subject and contribute to the development of the fishing sector in the country.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into In general, it can be stated that the natural canned mackerel production line at the Marechiare company operates adequately, although there are opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency and sustainability. Therefore, it is recommended to continue working on optimizing each stage of the production process.
