    About

The problem it solves Spokecards is a bit of fun for everyone. Spoke cards are trading NFT cards for cyclists that exend to real life. It solves the problem of keeping non tech humans in the loop via their passion for bikes. (making bikers smarter) It's aimed at bringing a diverse group of humans onchain by targeting the global bicycle market. (USD 113.73 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow from USD 122.52 billion in 2024 to USD 274.14 billion by 2032) 2004 was the beginning of movement of cyclists gathering as groups and reclaiming public space in Los Angeles. This movement has spread worldwide where people gather and ride together rather than going to parties and bars or paying to consume entertainment. One of the reasons I got involved with the LA scene was because it mimicked some existing ideals that stem from being an open source developer. Everyone's invited to the party, you contribute where you can, and it's a non-hierarchical system. Anyone can announce that they're having a ride or host a ride and people will follow. Via highlighting bike culture, Spokecards gives people another way to identify and express themselves creatively.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into This was my first time building on Base or the Etherium network so everything was a bit of a challenge. Luckily for me base.org has a plethera of docs and tutorials. Just understanding all the options and knowing where to begin was a lot. After running some tutorials and watching/attending some of the live workshops, I'm starting to get an idea of how things work.
