Slay to Earn
Slay Onchain Enemies. Earn Rewards
About
The problem it solves Slay to Earn is an onchain social RPG, playable as a mini app in Farcaster and TBA. It's simple: 1. Pick an enemy 2. Click the button 3. Earn rewards 4. Do it again! What started as a fun way to distribute rewards to the Farverse community, is growing it an extensive onchain RPG, and has become a collaborative effort to bring users onchain in a gamified way. I'm partnering with multiple others onchain creators to create unique "onchain enemies" to distribute rewards their community. Smart Contract Address(es) Slay. This is the main contract for onchain enemies, attacking + rewards distribution 0xd47B583A51522d340E5492100FD5a823fe3eB2F1 We also have the FarPets contract which integrates into the Slay game to give you buffs 0xF29D572Bd372aE7bB857e64212108770F8937b8b Other Onchain Proof The Slay to Earn game is a part of the Farverse project, a Farcaster native game ecosystem that I'm building out with 2.8K followers on Farcaster. https://farcaster.xyz/~/channel/farverse The first game in this ecosystem was FarPets, a tamagotchi style pets game that has minted over 10,000 NFTs since early July. FarPets is also integrated directly into the Slay to Earn game. https://farcaster.xyz/miniapps/PxBmrtUbCGLI/farpets I have been a receiver of weekly Base Builder Rewards via Talent Protocol for these two projects over the last two months, occasionally in the top 10 builders https://app.talentprotocol.com/e6770e46-827b-46ae-bf4e-2c6feb92fdab
How it's made
Challenges we ran into **Sybil Resistance** When designing the Slay to Earn rewards system, the first issue I knew I would have would be farmers draining the contracts. This is why the "attack" functionality has multiple layers of security to reduce the ability to abuse or farm it. 1. All attacks are unique per FID (Farcaster ID), not per wallet address. This ensures that even if users have multiple wallets, they are still limited by the number of Farcaster or TBA accounts they have. Whilst this is not an ultimate solution, it prevents easy abuse by casual users. 2. Signature validation. All attacks require a signature by a verified backend wallet for attacks to be submitted. This is validated as an EIP-712 signature onchain. Together these provide a secure system, that does not necessarily prevent attacks, but makes it sufficiently difficult for farmers to abuse.
