The problem it solves Discovering and acting on on-chain opportunities is noisy, manual, and often slow. Traders rely on fragmented tools, need to track multiple wallets and miss time-sensitive alpha because automation is inaccessible or too technical. SAM solves this by letting users define condition-based alerts. These rules are created using a no-code interface and executed instantly onchain. At its core, SAM acts as a collective intelligence engine: it surfaces and ranks smart orders defined by the community, creating a social discovery layer for actionable on-chain events. He understands what you mean and responds with relevant on-chain data. **What’s next for SAM?** - **Web client:** Complete our web client powered by XMTP, allowing users to set smart orders through chat. - **Smart Order Feed:** On our client, a public feed to explore, copy, and follow top-performing smart orders across tokens, wallets, and strategies. - **Wallet Activity-Based Orders:** Set custom smart orders based on wallet behavior. Example: “If jessepollak.eth buys a token under a $100K market cap, buy $100 worth for me too.” - **Alert-Linked Swap Orders:** Tie swap actions directly to alert triggers. Example: “If $TOKEN jumps 15% in an hour, buy 0.1 ETH worth automatically.” - **Advanced XMTP In-Chat UX:** Expand XMTP experience with better in-chat execution, balance tracking, and fund management tools — making smart trading possible without ever leaving the DM. **Technical Architecture** SAM is built on a modular stack that combines powerful on-chain and off-chain tools. - We use Coinbase’s OnchainKit for seamless Base network integration and AgentKit to power our smart agent that reacts to wallet activity and token events. - Real-time messaging and alert interactions are handled via the XMTP protocol, enabling both individual and group chat automation. - For data and execution, we integrate the Moralis API for wallet and token insights, the Birdeye API for real-time token market data, and the Neynar API to fetch and connect Farcaster identity and social context.
How it's made
Challenges we ran into - Designing a flexible rule system that supports diverse trigger types (wallet activity, price changes, token volume, etc.) - Ensuring low-latency alerting and execution infrastructure, especially for time-sensitive trades. - Building a user-friendly UX that abstracts the complexity of writing smart conditions while still being powerful. - Coordinating wallet tracking, market data, and execution logic through decentralized infra.
