    About

The problem it solves Supply chains often lack transparency, real-time data integration, and trust between parties. This project introduces a tokenized system where: - Manufacturers or farmers can validate the weight of their goods through IoT-connected scales. - Chainlink Functions securely fetch this off-chain data and mint tokens on-chain, reflecting the actual product weight. - Buyers can purchase tokens via a decentralized marketplace that ensures funds are only released upon confirmed delivery. - Shipment status updates are recorded immutably on-chain, creating a verifiable trail. - Enables cross-chain token logic in the future, so SCM tokens can work across L1s or L2s. This makes supply chain interactions: More transparent: On-chain audit trail from minting to delivery. More secure: Eliminates fraud from fake inventory or incorrect weights. More efficient: Automates token generation, deal matching, and payment release.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into Chainlink Functions Data Formatting The weight and string concatenation (e.g., Functions.encodeUint256().concat(Functions.encodeString())) was tricky to decode properly in Solidity. Solution: Used byte slicing (slice()) and made sure both JS and Solidity sides aligned perfectly in types and order. Because token minting, shipment updates, and offer creation involve transfers, state locks were needed. Solution: Implemented OpenZeppelin’s ReentrancyGuard and status flags per request to ensure state consistency. Go HTTP Integration with Chainlink Getting the middleware to properly simulate a validator scale and then trigger Chainlink Functions took testing. Solution: Built a lightweight REST server in Go and mocked weight values for faster dev cycles.
