    RAP - Reputation Attendance Protocol

reputation based entry for crypto events

    About

The problem it solves Remember kickback? And how it kinda solved everybody getting tickets for every event but then can only be present for 1 at a time anyway? (By making users stake some money into the ticketing system, then getting that money {and maybe some extra from the no-show pool} back once they attended?) RAP wants to solve that by adding reputation based waiting list priorisation by using sismo :) Organisers can create events, people can sign up. So far, nothing new here. But by integrating sismo, we can add some reputational flavor to that solution - while maintaining privacy

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into We had several challenges, time the most specific one. Our final pivot (away from the initial kickback contracts + the staking system that solution required) happened Saturday evening during dinner. So after already spending a day at the hackathon, we only had the night and our tired brains to hack something together. Another challenge was compiling the old kickback contracts (version 0.5 T_T ) and bringing them back to life - we spend way too much time on reviving them instead of building a simple new one for our purpose and moving on. Third challenge was lens + creating a user profile :) would've love to add that to the mix, but was super hard and didn't work out in the end ^^(but would've been nice tho!)
