    About

The problem it solves In the digital age, proving the existence or authorship of a file often involves notaries, costly intermediaries, or centralized platforms 🕰️💰. These solutions can be slow, expensive, and privacy-invasive. **ProofVault** solves this with a decentralized, private, and universal approach 🌍🔐. It generates a local hash of the file (never uploading it) and registers it on the Base blockchain in one click, creating a public, immutable, and private proof accessible from any supported social platform 📲. ✅ **Competitive advantages** 🔒 Full privacy: file is never exposed. 🧠 Extremely simple UX: designed as a MiniApp. 🌐 Works on any supported social platform. ⚖️ Frictionless adoption of legal-grade tech. 👀 Social graph integration: see who else is verifying content. 🌱 **Scalability & social impact** Proof Vault isn’t just for content creators—it can empower many others: A.👩‍🔬 Researchers protecting unpublished ideas. B. 📰 Journalists logging reports or evidence in conflict zones. C. 📢 Citizens denouncing corruption with cryptographic backing. D. 📄 Certifying legal files, contracts, or wills. E. 🎨 Artists, inventors, and professionals lacking legal support.

    How it's made

Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges was deploying the smart contract on the Base Sepolia network and integrating it with the frontend. Although the contract compiled successfully in Remix, properly configuring the network in the wallet, obtaining testnet ETH, and ensuring we were on the correct network (Base Sepolia, not Base Mainnet) required several attempts. Additionally, after deployment, it was necessary to copy the contract address and ABI, and manually connect them in the frontend so the app could register and read data on the blockchain. Overcoming these steps was key to achieving a fully functional onchain application.
