Challenges we ran into While building this project, one of the major challenges I encountered was handling a large influx of project submissions and ensuring a smooth user experience. The high volume of incoming projects caused performance issues and slowed down the platform. To overcome this hurdle, I implemented several strategies. First, I optimized the code and database queries to improve the platform's performance. I also implemented caching mechanisms to store frequently accessed data and minimize database queries. This helped reduce the load on the servers and enhanced the overall speed of the platform. Furthermore, I implemented a queuing system to manage project submissions. Instead of processing them synchronously, the system would enqueue the submissions and process them asynchronously in the background. This approach helped distribute the workload and prevented any single project from affecting the overall performance of the platform. Additionally, I added resource monitoring and scalability measures to handle sudden spikes in traffic. By closely monitoring server usage and employing auto-scaling techniques, I ensured that the platform could handle increased demand during peak periods without compromising performance. Overall, these optimizations and infrastructure improvements allowed me to overcome the challenges related to scalability and performance, ensuring a seamless experience for users even with a large number of project submissions.
